President, Syndicat mixte d'aménagement du Mont Lozère


In 1983, Rene Causse was elected mayor of Pourcharesses, a small town in Lozere (South of France). He then was designated as the municipality delegate and was able to seat at the association of municipalities Villefort Pourcharesses Prévenchères. Later he was appointed delegate of the Syndicat Intersyndical du Mont Lozère and was in charge of the Mas de la Barque ski resort. He became president of the Syndicat Mixte d'Aménagement du Mont Lozère in 1997. This municipal union is composed of the municipalities of Alès, Cévennes Mont Lozère, and Mont Lozère. In 2017, the Syndicat Intersyndical du Mont Lozère was granted the label Pôle de Pleine Nature Mont Lozère. Since then, they've been working on organizing, developing and streamline outdoor activities.
